Sherborne Vale Dog Training club has been in existence for over 20 years. We are Kennel Club registered.
We are a modern, positive reward based training club run by volunteers, with trainers who are experienced and qualified in their chosen canine disciplines. We like to help dog owners who come to us get the best from their dogs whatever the breed, age or background but above all help them to have fun with their dog. Our club is one of the few in the area which enjoys the benefits of being Kennel Club registered.
When joining the club, membership is about much more than just training your dog on a weekly basis. As a volunteer run organisation we rely on our members to assist the trainers and committee with various events which benefit the membership as a whole. Shows, events and training days advance the club and ensure you gain the best and more up to date training which in turn benefits you and your relationship with your dog. So we do ask that you give some time, however short, to assist with these as part of your membership.
Our classes suit everyone no matter what age or ability and are very friendly. We limit the number of members per class to guarantee plenty of time is spent with you and your dog.
Obedience classes range from puppy through to the Kennel Club Gold Good Citizen Award.
Agility classes range from foundation and beginner right through to competition level with several members and trainers having recently competed at National Finals.
Agility classes are £5.50 per session (£2.50 for juniors aged 16 and under) which is payable monthly (upon receipt of invoice) by cheque or BACS
The Foundation and Beginner’s Agility courses is £40.00 for 8 weeks payable in advance to secure your place.
Obedience classes are £5.50 per session (£2.50 for juniors aged 16 and under) which is payable 6 weekly (upon receipt of invoice) by cheque or BACS
Foundation Puppy Good Citizen classes are £33.00 for 6 weeks payable after you reserve your place.
Annual family membership £10.00
Over 60 and Junior solo membership £5.00
Throughout the year we have various social activities for our members and their dogs.
We also provide agility demonstrations at local events. This always proves to be a positive experience for everyone involved, members and spectators alike.
